Just three days into the new year, intermittent blackouts began due to insufficient
energy supply from NGCP. Rotational outages occurred every two hours, lasting a
week, and then became a recurring issue weeks later

The extreme heat was unbearable, and we relied on air conditioning, driving
monthly electricity bills to PHP 9,000–10,000. That’s when I realized my family,
especially my children, and our community deserved better — we deserve access
to free, sustainable energy from the sun.

I installed an 8KWP hybrid solar setup for my home, cutting my monthly electricity
bill from over 9,000 pesos to just 180–400 pesos, even with an extra air
conditioning unit. Inspired by these results, I knew I had to share this solution with
my fellow Ilonggos — leading to the birth of DeoNergy.
